Echo Hills is located about an hour east of Pittsburgh in the Laurel Highlands near the village of Indian Head. The study center is nestled between the Chestnut and Laurel ridges of the Appalachian mountains in the vicinity of Seven Springs and Hidden Valley resorts, Lynn Run, Kooser, Laurel Hill and Ohiopyle state parks, and the Laurel Ridge Hiking Trail. It is easily accessible from the PA Turnpike and routes 711 and 31. Echo Hills has seven acres surrounded by farms and forest. Most of the year, something is sprouting or blooming in our fields and fence rows. And, yes, we have an echo!
